Lee Urva Ramsey Taylor, 91, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, in Mountain Home.

A memorial service will be held at the Bruneau American Legion Hall, at 11 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 21. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Lee was born Nov. 30, 1921, at the family ranch in Little Valley, near Bruneau. She was the fourth child of Mat and Lottie Ramsey. Lee attended the Little Valley School, graduating from the eighth grade in 1935.

During Lee's junior year at Bruneau High School, she married Clyde Carr Feb. 1, 1938. For the next five years they worked for several ranches in Idaho and Nevada. The sunshine of Lee's life, Toby Clyde Carr, was born in 1944. After 21 years that marriage ended in divorce.

On April 10, 1961, Lee married Milton Taylor. They made their home in Fallon, Nev.

Lee received her GED and attended nursing school, receiving her L.P.N. and working at the Fallon Hospital until her retirement.

In 1986, Lee moved back to Bruneau where she resided until moving into assisted living in Mountain Home in 2003.

Lee was a very talented woman. She did beautiful paintings and sewing. She was a great horsewoman and had a love for stray animals, bringing them home and caring for them.

Lee is survived by three sisters, Mattie Black, Bonnie Pascale and Beckie Janousek and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Milton, her son, Toby, three brothers, Champ, Albert and Tony Ramsey, and two sisters, Elva Guisasola and Mildred Patterson.

The family would like to thank Charlene and her staff at Cedar Crest for caring for Lee for over nine years and the staff at Ashley Manor for giving her extended care the last two months.

In lieu of flowers please make any donation, in Lee's name, to your favorite charity.
