Santa reads to the children at the city library during last year's event.

Santa Claus will be taking a break from his busy schedule to drop by the Mountain Home Public Library and spend some time with the children on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 6:30 p.m.

Santa will be reading "The Night Before Christmas," written by Clement Moore. Arden Schmidt, MS Outreach consultant for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing from Idaho Educational Services for the Deaf and Blind will sign the story as Santa Reads it.
