Sheriff asks for help in wire theft

The Elmore County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of industrial cable valued at over $25,000 from a construction site near King Hill.

Elmore County Deputies were dispatched to a Western Construction job site near Exit 129 on I-84 early Monday, where workers discovered the theft of wire. Western Construction is offering a $5,000 dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the persons responsible.

Maybe they are taking it to a different state to sell it??? This isn't the cops fault so why put it on them, its the person that is stealing it. It causes the buisness owner sooooo much money and heartach when they have to replace all this stuff. And how do you know the salvage yards aren't coroperating with law enforcement. I know that the salavage yard in town requires you to have proof of where the wire came from before they will even take it.
