Garners celebrate 60 years together

John and Peggy Garner of Mountain Home will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Jan. 19.

They were married in Boise on that date in 1952.

They raised three children, Cathy, of Emmett, Scott, of Mountain Home, and Joseph, of Meridian. They have six grandchildren, Heather, Lisa, Robby.Chealsea, Mitchel and Alexis, and two great-grandchildren, Lacey and Whitnee.

During their marriage they lived in many places with the Air Force. Upon retirement, they moved to Mountain Home in 1966.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate their anniversary with them at their home at 500 S. 3rd East St. from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21. The couple request no gifts "as your company will be the greatest gift we can receive."
