Dallas C. Qualman, 94, of Mountain Home, passed away Dec. 11, 2011. Funeral Services were held Saturday, Dec. 17, at Cloverdale Funeral Home, Boise, with burial following at Dry Creek Cemetery

Dallas was born Nov. 10, 1917, in the community of Central, Idaho, in Caribou County. His family moved to Melba, Kuna and the Boise area.

He met Margaret Keller and they married May 6, 1938. After marrying, he lived in Boise, Seattle, Wash., Parma, Idaho, Nampa, and Mountain Home.

He worked as a carpenter, mechanic, and farmer. He had his own cabinet shop and house-building business. He also had a service station and mechanics' shop (New Barger-Mattson). He supervised the construction of one of the additions to the sugar factory.

He had and enjoyed horses and spent a lot of time researching the Indian Land Title in this area.

He is survived by his sons, Carl (Irene) of Boise, Ronald (Kathleen) of Seabeck, Wash., and one daughter, Carol, of Mountain Home.

Dallas was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, and youngest son, Vernon.
