Anna Lee Baltzelle

Anna Lee Baltzelle, 94, of Mountain Home, died May 28, 2011, at a local care center.

A graveside service was held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Palmdale, Calif., on Friday, June 3. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Anna Lee was born on Sept. 28, 1916, to Robert and Almedia Mark in Anadarko, Okla. She grew up in nearby Chickasha.

In July 1940, Anna Lee married Eugene Baltzelle and they moved to California where they raised two daughters, Jean Ann and Betty Paule.

In 1996, Anna Lee moved to Mountain Home to be near her daughter.

Anna Lee liked to play cards, work crosswords, crochet and type long, interesting letters. She was always taking care of other people. Even at age 90, and in assisted living, she was looking out for others. Many of her family members have wonderful afghans that she crocheted.

We will miss her sweet smile and loving attitude.

Anna Lee is survived by her daughter, Betty, and husband Carl Olsen, of Mountain Home, granddaughter Stephanie and grandson David Olsen, great-grandsons Hunter and Tyler Olsen, all of Boise, and her brother, Bill Mark, of Lubbock, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene, daughter Jean Ann, infant son Charles Alan, sisters Fay, Lola and Pauline, and brothers Howard and Leon.

A sincere thank you to the staff of the Cottages for their loving care.
