Bo Stinnett

Ethel L. "Bo" Stinnett, 67, was called home by our Lord and Savior on May 15, 2010, after battling with Multiple Sclerosis for many years and a long battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Bo was born in Oak Hill, Tenn., on June 7, 1942, to Orville and Katie Dotson, the sixth of 14 children. She attended old Washington Elementary School and Rhea Central High School in Dayton, Tenn.

Bo was raised the majority of her childhood life by her grandparents, George and Cora Dotson.

In 1959, Bo met her future husband, Carlos B. Stinnett, also of Dayton, who was in the U.S. Navy at the time, and they were married on Sept. 24, 1960, after Carlos left the Navy. In January 1961, Carlos joined the U.S. Air

Force and Bo accompanied him for the next 18 years until he retired from the Air Force.

Bo and Carlos were stationed at Homestead AFB, Fla., Ramstein AB, Germany, Shaw AFB, S.C., Washington, D.C., and Bo lived a true military wife¹s life by remaining in the US and raising their three children while Carlos served a tour in southeast Asia. From there they went to Mountain Home AFB (where they moved after their retirement) and their last assignment at Myrtle Beach AFB, S.C.

In their marriage, Bo and Carlos were blessed with three wonderful children.

She enjoyed camping, gardening and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bo was co-owner and co-founder of Carlos¹ Mexican Style Family Dining in Mountain Home for 15 years until being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, which forced her to retire from the business.

Bo is survived by her husband, Carlos, daughter Donda D. and her husband, Gilberto Varela, daughter Kimberly C. and her husband, Leo Hartman, and son Victor M. and his wife, Mayree Stinnett, grandchildren Fabian Hartman, Roman and his wife, Katie Varela, Andrew and his wife, Erin Hartman, Mateo Varela, Clara Hartman, Pilar Varela and her husband, Garret Booth, Lucas Varela, Chelsi Stinnett, Katie Stinnett, Autumn Stinnett, great-grandchildren Alex
