Frances Daugherty

Frances Ginevra Daugherty passed away on Feb. 4, 2010, at a nursing home in Mountain Home.

Services are under the direction of Potter's Funeral Home in Emmett. Her memorial was held in Emmett on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at which time her wishes were granted and she was laid to rest next to her husband, Dale.

On Sept. 3, 1920, she was born the oldest of three children to Homer and Opal Taylor in Powell, Wyo. In 1936, she and her family moved to Bellflower, Calif., where she graduated from Norwalk High School in 1938.

On Feb. 24, 1941, she married Dale "Pat" Daugherty and they resided in Lakewood, Calif., while raising two children, Patricia and Michael.

Frances worked as a school secretary for 15 years before she and Dale moved to Idaho in 1967. Dale worked at Anderson Ranch Dam in Mountain Home and at Diversion Dam in Boise for the Bureau of Reclamation before retiring to Emmett in 1982.

She was also a charter member of the Lakewood Trinity Methodist Church in Lakewood, Calif.

Frances led a full and active life and was loved dearly by her family. She enjoyed extensive travel, especially going to Jackpot, Nev., with her daughter, Pat.

Frances is survived by: her daughter, Pat Meyers; her son, Michael (Linda); nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren;

and a TON of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Opal, her husband Dale "Pat," sister Barbara, brother Bill, son-in-law Bill Meyers and grandson Billy Meyers.
