Lila (Galgerud) Turner, 76, of Mountain Home, went peacefully to join the husband and the love of her life, Keith Milo Turner, on June 30, 2009, while at a Boise hospital.

Lila's courage, determination, humor and unconditional love sustained everyone. To her, "No one was a stranger;" many will testify to her rib-cracking hugs. Lila was a gifted homemaker, with talents in cooking, canning, sewing, gardening with a unique gift for repairing anything.

Recently she focused on sewing personalized quilts as a demonstration of her love; you can feel her arms around you when snuggled in one of her quilts.

Lila is survived by her brothers and sisters; Mildren Ruckman (Montana), Sanford and wife Sandy Galgerud (Nampa), Linda Couch (Mountain Home), and Timothy and wife Ealeen Galgerud (Montana), her 10 children: Nadine Turner (California), Nancy Turner (Texas), Jim and wife Linda Turner (Nevada), Raymond Turner (Mountain Home), Richard and wife Marta Turner (Mountain

She was preceded in death by her husband Keith Milo Turner, and her sister Deleah Turner.

To capture the essence of Lila's life would take a very large book, but two words are central to her: FAMILY AND LOVE.
