Encore Co. will present stage play of Star Wars

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... .

The MHHS Encore Co. will present "Star Wars," courtesy of Lucasfilms, Ltd., April 9-11 at 7 p.m. in the MHHS gym.

Tickets will be sold at the door -- for $3 students and $5 for adults.

Set far in the past in a distant galaxy, a group of freedom fighters known as the Rebel Alliance are set to destroy the Death Star space station of the oppressive Galactic Empire. The plot follows the tale of farm boy Luke Skywalker who is suddenly thrust into the role of hero when he inadvertently acquires droids (R2-D2 and C3PO) carrying the schematic plans of the station. He must accompany Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi on a mission to rescue the owner of the robots, rebel leader Princess Leia, deliver the plans to the rebels' secret base, and help destroy the station before it reaches and destroys the rebel base.
