Thomas Womack

Thomas E. Womack, 56, of Mountain Home, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at a local hospital.

Private family services were held on Friday, Jan. 11, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Thomas was born on Dec. 22, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph F. Womack, Sr., and Margaret (Gough) Womack.

He was raised in the Ogden area and joined the Army in 1969. He was stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash., and served in Korea. While stationed at Fort Lewis he met Connie Morris, who became his wife in 1977. They lived all over the northwest. Their daughter Rolana was born in 1973 in Boise and grew up in Oregon and Idaho.

Thomas was employed in the scrap metal business and managed Fields Trailer Court in Mountain Home. Thomas liked doing yard work, working on fast cars and building wooden boxes, his family said, adding that "Thomas had a great sense of humor. His laughter will be greatly missed."

Thomas is survived by: his wife, Connie; his daughter, Rolana and her husband, Scott, all of Mountain Home; his brothers, Joseph and his wife, Judy, of Ogden Utah, and Paul Womack of Mountain Home; his sisters, Ann Womack of Mountain Home, Pam and her husband, Steve Gabriel, of Mountain Home, and Pat and her husband, Mitch Sullivan, of Nampa; his brother-in-law, Don and his wife, Barbara Hodgen, of Milton-Freewater, Ore., and Glenn Kempton of Glendive, Mont., and six grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and an infant daughter, Maggie Mae.
