Addean Collins

Addean Lillian (Garner) Collins, 73, of Mountain Home, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at a Boise care center.

A viewing and funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Burial followed at Mountain View Cemetery.

Addean was born on April 2, 1934, in Fernwood, Miss., the daughter of Zeb and Eva (Miskel) Garner.

Addean married Elmo Joseph Collins on July 12, 1953, in Fernwood. They lived in Mountain Home over 30 years.

Addean worked in sales at the Base Exchange at Mountain Home AFB for 23 years until she took early retirement.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church.

Addean was "greatly devoted to the love of her children and grandchildren," her family noted, and traveled often to visit them, including trips to Alaska, Maryland and Virginia.

Addean is survived by: her daughters, Linda G. and her husband, Eddie Figueroa, of Maryland, Rogena M. Brown of Mountain Home and Sharon K. and her husband, Kim Raines, of Virginia; her brother, Zeb J Garner, Jr., of Cleveland, Ohio, 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elmo J. Collins, Sr., and her sons, Larry D., David C. and Joseph E. Collins.
