A viewing was held at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel on Monday, and a funeral service was held at the Mountain Home Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Tuesday, November 14. Burial following the service was in the Bruneau Cemetery.

Jeannette was born on Oct. 12, 1959, in Logan, Utah, to Lysle George and LaRue Erickson Munns, the second of three girls.

She attended Brigham Young University where she graduated with a degree in Home Economics Education.

She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Lima, Peru, from 1981 to 1983.

Jeannette loved her family and enjoyed greatly her many activities with them, her family said.

She participated in the 4-H program in Elmore County both as a leader and served on various planning committees.

"She loved to garden and was involved with the master gardener program. She grew extensive vegetable gardens, which many enjoyed at the farmer's market," her family said. "Flowers more than surrounded her home and she gave them to others regularly."

She also loved music and shared her abilities freely as she accompanied many and taught piano in her home, her family added.

Jeannette actively served in her church in many positions, including music in all organizations, teaching in Primary, and as Relief Society President "where her ability to love and serve was well used."

She is survived by: her husband, Steve Martin; and her children, Paul (currently serving in the California, Ventura Mission), James, Thomas, Andrew, Anna, Mary and Rebecca, all of Mountain Home; her mother, LaRue Munns of Mountain Home, and two sisters, Marie Packham and her husband, Joel, of Paris, Idaho, and Elaine Grenko and her husband, Kevin, of Lindon, Utah.
