Marian (Montrose) Valdez-Lindholm, 84, of Grand View, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, at a local hospital.

Services will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Marian Maxine was born Jan. 27, 1922, in Mountain Home, to Arthur and Tina Montrose. She was raised and schooled in Mountain Home. She lived a number of years in Elko, Nev., and then moved to Utah and lived there the last 40 years. She moved to Grand View six months ago.

She enjoyed talking to people, her family said, adding that she was very friendly, was involved in Bible study and like to crochet.

Marian is survived by: her husband Albert Lindholm of Grand View; her sons, James and his wife, Gidget Carothers, of Mountain Home; Quintin Marticorena of Mountain Home, and Daniel Santos of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Owen and his wife, Lottie Montrose, of Mountain Home; a sister, Marjorie, and her husband, Jack Streeter, of Mountain Home; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister and one daughter.
