Michael "Mike" John Cooper, 43, of Mountain Home, died Jan. 28, 2006, at his home, with his family by his side.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, at Amazing Grace Church at 1 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Mike was born Nov. 15, 1962, the son of Edward and Joyce Cooper in Paterson, N.J. He was raised in Key West, Fla., and graduated from Key West High School before attending Miami Dade College.

He met Robin Baggett in Virginia Beach and they were married in Mountain Home on June 12, 2005.

"He loved to play golf and take walks in the rain on the beach," is family said. "He loved life and live it to the fullest. He will be deeply missed all, including by Sporty, his loyal companion, a standard poodle."

Mike is survived by: his wife, Robin, of Mountain Home; his mother, Joyce, of Mountain Home; his sister, Monica Wolan, of Mountain Home; a daughter, Chantelle Cooper, of Virginia Beach; a step-daughter, Megan Henderson, of Minnesota; step-sons Jason Proctor, of Tennessee, and Joseph Henderson, of Virginia Beach; a brother, Edward Cooper, of Washington; two grandsons and a nephew.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research at St. Lukes Hospital, 190 E. Bannock, Boise, ID 83712.
