Anna Barbi, 91

Anna Mae Barbi, 91, of Mountain Home, died Oct. 16, 2005.

Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 20, at St. James Episcopal Church at 2 p.m. Services are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

She was born Sept. 28, 1914, in Auxier, Kent. During the depression her family moved to Paintsville, Kent. She graduated from high school in 1930 in Louisa, Kent.

Anna joined the Army Air Corps in 1943. She met her future husband and they were married on Dec. 1, 1945, and they had two daughters.

In 1959, Anna, her husband, Remo D. Barbi, and the two daughters traveled to Mountain Home where Remo was stationed at the base until his retirement in 1963.

Anna worked in the hot lunch program for the Mountain Home School District for 15 years.

She was a member of the Eastern Star, Senior Citizens, and an active member of St. James Episcopal for many years.

Survivors include: her two daughters, Diane and her husband, John Hall, of Boise, and Karen and her husband, Joe Vachon, of Mountain Home, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 315 N. 3rd East St., Mountain Home, ID 83647.
