Meides celebrate golden anniversary

The daughters of James and June Meide, Mountain Home, invite friends and family to celebrate the couple's 50 years together, when grandson C.J. Meide and his band, 'Sudden Impact' will perform at Carl Miller Park on July 28 from 7-9 p.m.

Jim and June were high school sweethearts and married in Han Kingson, N.D., Jan. 19, 1955. Traveling and living across the United States while in the armed forces, when they retired, they moved back to Mountain Home. They have three daughters, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. They celebrated their golden anniversary while snow-birding down south.

Daughters, Conni Sauls, Rita Meide, both of Mountain Home, and Marilyn McCullough of Fredricksburg, Va., said, "They still love each other and have that special twinkle in the eye for one another."

The couple requests no gifts.
