Bill Knight, 89

William Henry Knight, 89, of Bellevue, Wash., died June 13, 2005, in Portland, Ore., and was buried next to his late wife on Friday, June 17, at the Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home.

He was born July 19, 1915, at the Knight Station House, Sheaville, Ore. to Ida Myrtle Baltazor and Byron Joseph Knight.

Bill graduated from Parma High School and attended college at both the University of Idaho Southern Branch, Pocatello, and the University of Idaho, Moscow.

He served for a time in the Idaho National Guard.

He later went to work for Morrison Knudsen and Pacific Naval Air Base Contractors, helping to construct the base on Midway Island in the Pacific. He went to work for the Boeing Airplane Company in 1942 and worked there for 43 years.

His only break in employment at Boeing was as one of the Owners of the Rainbow Fly and Fish Company, in Seattle.

Bill married Wilma Louise Latimore in 1942 and they resided in Bellevue, Wash., until 2001.

Bill was active in the Boy Scouts and was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus in Seattle and Bellevue.

Bill and wife, Wilma, enjoyed trailering, which they did many years as members of the Boeing Trailer Club's Roadrunners.

In 2002 Wilma died and was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain Home. Bill's request was to be brought back to Mountain Home to lay next to his wife.Wilma.

Bill is survived by: sons Bryon Knight of Madison, Wisc., and son Robert Knight of Portland, Ore., one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma.
