V. Lynn Riddle, 57, of Mountain Home, died Tuesday March 1, 2005, at her home.

Graveside inurnment was held Tuesday, March 8, at Mounain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home.

Lynn was born on July 13, 1947, in Boise, to M.A. "Bud" Riddle and Vyonda J. Rice Riddle. Lynn grew up in Mountain Home and graduated from Mountain Home High School.

She married Rick Kelly in 1965. They later divorced but remained best friends.

Her early years were spent on the family ranch in Owyhee County, being "her Dad's best buckaroo and rescuing hundreds of critters in need of TLC," a lifelong passion of Lynn's, her family said.

"Lynn was a gifted, intelligent, loving person with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. She studied continuously, took many courses and workshops, and had accumulated three years of college through the years. She possessed many talents she shared with her mother, especially art, sewing, and doll making. Lynn also pursued a passion for reading and genealogy, but her favorite pastime was being Grandma Lynn to her six grandchildren," her family said.

Lynn is survived by her parents, her three children, Sean Kelly of North Carolina, Deidre Merkley of Meridian and Moira Kelly of Boise; her three sisters, Toni Becklund of Mountain Home, Susan Riddle of Boise and Marcy Crockett of Grand View; her brothers-in-law Bruce Becklund, Terry Jacobs, and Dick Crockett; her forever friend Rick; six grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and good friends.
