Irene worked for McDonald Douglas making aircraft and was also a seamstress.

George and Irene moved to France with the United States Air Force when they got the news they would be the proud parents of a baby boy, and they adopted their son, Edward Joseph.

George then got orders to Spain and when stationed in Spain they got the news that there was a little girl up for adoption and her name became Joanne, so back to France they went to get their family once again.

They moved to Mountain Home in March 1962, where they made it their home until her death.

"Irene loved being outdoors in her garden attending to her flowers," her family said. "Inside you could find Irene crocheting to sell at the local bazaars. Irene was a lovely wife, mother and grandmother she will be missed."

Irene is survived by: her husband, George, of Mountain Home; daughter Joanne and her husband, Jeff Reyes, of Mountain Home; son Edward Joseph Zack of Boise; siste, Pauline Donaldson of Florida; one grandchild and one great-grand child.
