Ida Moniz, 88

Ida F. Moniz, 88, of Mountain Home, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at a local hospital.

At her request no services will be held here in Mountain Home. She requested to be taken back to Hawaii.

Ida was born on Jan. 7, 1916, in Paia, Hawaii, the daughter of Frank and Rose Fernandez.

After her husband's death Ida moved to Mountain Home in 1988 to be closer to her daughter, June Tulloch. After living with June she eventually decided to move into Cedar Crest until her death.

"Ida was quite the character," her family said, "and will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, to all she touched in her life."

Ida is survived by: her three children, June Tulloch her husband, Walter, of Mountain Home, her son, Donald, and his wife, April, of Hawaii, and son Stanley of Connecticut; 16 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband, two brothers and three sisters‚ one daughter and one son preceded her in death.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, Mountain Home.
