Mary Dayley, 65

Mary Margaret Frangen Dayley, 65, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at the Elmore Medical Center Nursing Home.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. Arrangements were under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel.

Mary was born April 13, 1939, in Highland, Ill., the daughter of Clyde Frangen and Margaret (Moore) Penland. She grew up in Troy, Ill., and moved to San Francisco, Calif., in the late 1950s.

Mary met and married Robert Dayley on May 5, 1961. They moved to Mountain Home in late 1961.

Mary worked at the Desert Inn and Gem Cafe.

They moved to Westport, Wash., in 1978 where she worked at the Fisherman's Inn until moving back to Mountain Home in 1984.

Mary enjoyed camping at Johnson's Bridge and Dog Creek, going to the coast, traveling and watching the Braves baseball team, country music, being around her grandkids and feeding the squirrels.

Mary is survived by: her husband, Robert, of Mountain Home; daughters Barbara (Michael) Beste of Elma, Wash., and Stacy (Chuck) Pickering, and a son, Michael, all of Mountain Home; two granddaughters and two grandsons; sister-in-law Punky Dayley, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by mother, Margaret Penland, her father, Clyde Frangen, father-in-law George and mother-in-law Wanda Janousek, brothers-in-law Joseph Dayley and Chuck Dayley and a nephew.
