Amos Lacey Mouser, 88, of Pocatello, formerly of Hill City, died Wednesday evening, July 21, 2004, at his home.

Funeral services were held July 26, 2004, at the Pocatello Baptist Church, with Pastor Colan Deatherage conducting. Internment was in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Pocatello.

He was born July 26, 1915, at Hill City to Charlie and Rosabell Peterson Mouser.

He married DeLila Miller April 16, 1946, at Gooding.

Amos worked as a clerk for the Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement in 1986. He was a lifelong wood worker and cabinet maker.

He loved to fish in Alaska, travel, camp outdoors, and go on family activities. He was a lifetime member of the Boy Scouts of America, including the Order of the Arrow, and had received the Silver Beaver.

He was an active member and trustee of the Pocatello Baptist Church. He was past president, secretary and treasurer of the TCU. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Pocatello Aerie No. 119 and the UPRR Old Timers.

Amos is survived by: his wife, DeLila; two sons, Amos Dwaine of Germany, and Evert Raymond of Lewisville, Idaho; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Mike Mouser of Boise; and a sister, Eunice Edmonds of Spokane, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
