Harold L. Larsen, 88, of Mountain Home, died peacefully at home Monday morning, May 24, 2004.

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 28, at 10 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home chapel in Mountain Home.

Larsen was born in Barre, Vt., to Andrew and Christine Larsen on April 27, 1916.

He married June Kelso of Hill City, Idaho, on May 23, 1941, in Wallace, Idaho. During the couple's stay in Wallace Larsen worked in many of the mines in the area.

In 1955 they moved to Mountain Home with the two sons, Larry and Monte, and in 1959 a daughter, Pam, was born. He began working for the city of Mountain Home upon his arrival here and continued as a city employee until his retirement in 1981.

He is survived by: his sons, Larry Larsen and his wife, Pat, of Pocatello, Monte Larsen and his wife, Lynn, of Mountain Home; his daughter, Pam Harris and her husband, Hank, of Boise; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grand- children, nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, Mike and Lawrits.
