Lorenza Chavez Juarez, 86

Lorenza Chavez Juarez, 86, of Mountain Home, died Friday, April 18, 2003, at a Boise hospital.

Vigil services were held Monday, April 21, at Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel. Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 22, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Burial followed at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel.

Lorenza was born Aug. 10, 1916, in Coeneo, Michaean, Mexico, the daughter of Bartola (Magana) and Longino Chavez.

"Lorenza loved to dance, and was very outgoing," her family said. "She liked to sing and loved any kind of music. Lorenza was a hard working woman that loved her children and grandsons and granddaughters. Out of the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren she had she remembered each of their names."

Lorenza is survived by: her sons, Nicanor Chavez Juarez, and Daniel Chavez Juarez; her daughters, Victorina Chavez Juarez, and Maria Ester Chavez Juarez and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcelo G. Juarez, sons Benito Chavez Juarez, Enrique Chavez Juarez and Rodrigo Chavez Juarez, and daughter Lucina Chavez Juarez and grandson Aldo Juarez.
