Cedric Green

Major Cedric Curtis Green (U.S. Air Force, ret.), born April 27, 1938, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away at home of natural causes on Oct. 10, 2011, in Mountain Home, Idaho. A graveside service was held Oct. 13, at Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain Home, with full USAF military honors.

Cedric spent elementary school in Missouri and graduated high school in Paramount, Calif.

He served as a navigator in the USAF 1958-1978.

He married Carol A. Teff on Aug. 10, 1959, in Lansing, Iowa. They celebrated 52 years of marriage Aug. 10, 2011. After retirement from the Air Force, Cedric attended College at BSU for mechanics and worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a motor vehicle mechanic.

Cedric was active in woodworking, stamp and coin collecting, and very actively involved with the model railroad club in Caldwell, Idaho.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, children Joseph (spouse Vikki) Green, Curtis A. Green, Tina Marie (spouse Vince) Hutto and James A. (spouse Teresa) Green, seven grandchildren, Sherry, Amy, Jyma, Jessica, Tyler, Bryan and Nycholas, and one great-grandson, Koston.

He was preceded by his parents, Cedric and Christine Green, sister Christine; nephew James Christopher Hutchinson and grandson James Anthony Cedric Green.

Arrangements were by Summers Funeral Homes in Boise, Idaho. Internment was in the Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain Home, Idaho.
