Snuffy Knotts

Irving Wayne "Snuffy" Knotts, 61, of Mountain Home, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at a Boise hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Oct. 27, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Military honors will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Wayne was born in Enterprise, Ore., on Sept. 1, 1950, and raised in Lostine, Ore. He later moved to Central Point, Ore., where he met the woman he would spend the rest of his life with, Cloey Miller. Wayne and Cloey were married in Central Point on April 11, 1972. They had two boys, Brad and Jason, and lived in Central Point until Wayne joined the U.S. Air Force in 1976.

He served at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas, for three years. He served a year in Sheyma, Alaska, and then served 12 years at Mountain Home AFB, where he retired in 1993.

Wayne worked for the Mountain Home School District for several years before he took over Auto Marine Upholstery in 2001.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Cloey Knotts, son Jay and his wife, JoDee Knotts, his granddaughter, Ale Knotts, grandson Jason Knotts, granddaughter AnDee Knotts, his mother, Maiva Knotts, his brother, Bernard Knotts, brother Clifford and his wife, Debbie Knotts, his sister Rayetta and her husband, Kim Knox, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Knotts, a brother, Richard Knotts, son Brad Knotts, father-in-law Walter Miller and mother-in-law June Miller.
