Richard Hugo passed away Aug. 3, 2011, at the age of 89, at Good Samaritan Society in Boise.

Born June 19, 1922, in Moscow, Idaho, Richard is survived by his younger sister, Priscilla (Hugo) Querry, of Olympia, Wash., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard was the youngest of four sons of Charles John Hugo and Jessie May (Nichols) Hugo.

Richard's wife, Marjorie Bailey Hugo, died Aug. 20, 2010. Dick and Marge had a long and adventurous life together that included trips to Africa and the Netherlands. They lived in northern California for many years and in Kentucky for a time. Their final years were spent in Marjorie's family home in Grand View.

Richard's ashes will be placed, along with Marjorie's, near his mother and a brother at Alta Mesa Memorial Park Cemetery in Palo Alto, Calif. Rest in peace, Dick, with your dear Marge. We love you both.

The family wishes to thank all the wonderful people who have helped Richard over the past year and longer. Your many kindnesses are treasures in our hearts.

No service is planned. The family requests that donations in Richard and Marjorie's memory be made to The Centennial Park, P.O. Box 331, Grand View, ID 83624, to support the Grand View beautification project.

Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
