Roxie A. (Mink) Bossenberger

Roxie A. (Mink) Bossenberger, 55, formerly of Mountain Home, passed away on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at her home in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Roxie was born to Herbert and Jean (Thomason) Mink on Nov. 25, 1955, in Weiser. She started school in Cambridge until 1967 when the family moved to King Hill. In 1969, the family moved to Mountain Home where Roxie finished school and graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1974.

After graduating, Roxie moved to Salt Lake City to work as a computer programmer for Consolidated Freight, later transferring to Lexington, Ky. This is where she married Kenneth Bossenberger, and together they moved to Texas. While in Texas, Roxie continued working for Consolidated Freight during the day and she attended college at night, receiving her BA in education. She began teaching at the Dickenson Elementary School and remained there for 21 years.

Roxie was talented in crafts, especially stained glass and ceramics. She was an excellent seamstress. She could sew anything.

Roxie was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Her greatest loves were her five Dachshunds.

Roxie is survived by her mother, Jean Mouser, of Mountain Home, her brother Brad and his wife, Jacque Mink, of Texas, and her sister, Dixie, and her husband, Chris Black, of Bruneau.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herb Mink, and her brother Myron.
