Sherman Luther Bundrant

Sherman Luther Bundrant, 75 of Hammett, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at a Boise hospital. Viewing and services will be held from 11:00AM to Noon on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Sherman grew up in Richland, Washington. He joined the US Marine Corps in 1951 and was discharged in early 1955. He married ReNae Alvey on December 28, 1955, in Escalante, Utah. They lived in Utah for about 2 years, then they moved to Richland, Washington where they lived for the next 12 years, having 3 children during this time.

They moved to Boise in 1969. Their 3 children all went to Boise schools. ReNae was the breadwinner and Sherman was "Mr. Mom." Sherman's second love was automobile restoration and building trailers and cars. Sherman took a correspondence course on Radio and TV repair. Sherman and ReNae became CB'ers in about 1970. Sherman was The Tater Digger and ReNae was Snowflake. He worked on many CB radios for his CB buddies for many years. Sherman and ReNae retired to Hammett, in 2000.

Sherman is survived by his wife ReNae A. Bundrant of Hammett, his daughter Fae Ellyn Brownell of Tahlequah, OK, his son Steven and his wife Diana Bundrant of Boise, his brothers Robert and his wife Annette Bundrant and Donald and his wife Sandy Bundrant all of Richland, WA and 8 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Tom and Bill, 1 sister Betty and 1 daughter Fern.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Sherman's name can be made to the Mountain States Tumor Institute, Health Foundation, 190 East Bannock, Boise, ID 83712.
