Glenna Hoagland

Glenna L. (Gridley) Hoagland, 85, of Mountain Home, took the big step on May 30, 2010. She held out her hand and God pulled her through the Gates of Heaven, where she was greeted with "Welcome Home, Glenna." In our hearts we also heard her declare: "Thank you Lord, I am so happy to see my loved ones here to greet me."

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Aug. 9, at 11 a.m. at the Mountain Home Church of the Nazarene, to celebrate her life. Graveside inurnment will follow at the Hagerman Cemetery.

Glenna, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all she left behind, is safe with loved ones. There is no more pain or sorrow.

Glenna rejoins those that took this step before her: her husband, one daughter, her parents, six of her seven brothers, and even a grandchild and a great-grandchild, as well as many dear friends and relatives. Take peace that they are rejoicing with her now.

Glenna was married to Chuck Hoagland, who was awarded both a Silver Star and a Bronze Star in WWII. They were married for 37 years before he died in 1987. They had four children: Loree (deceased), David, Sam and Idalee, ten

grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She loved horses all her life, and the highlight of her short political career took her to the White House for lunch with President Reagan.

Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
