Belinda Fisher

Belinda Joanne (Vanderpool) Fisher, born April 18, 1980 at Shaw AFB, S.C., passed away July 3, 2010, at her home in Thornton, Colo.

Belinda moved to Mountain Home in 1982 with her parents, Teri L. Vanderpool (Mountain Home) and Carl Vanderpool (Kuna), and her sister, Wendy.

She attended school at Mountain Home AFB Elementary, East Elementary, Mountain Home Junior High School and Mountain Home High School. While Belinda was at Mountain Home High School she was active in dance, drama and the CNA program. She graduated with honors in 1998.

From high school Belinda went on to attend college at an accelerated college located in Denver where she achieved her goal of becoming a surgical technician. Belinda once again came back to Idaho while she was working on her externship at Mercy Medical Hospital in Nampa, Idaho.

The family stated Belinda was always full of fun as well as being extremely youthful looking. Belinda's mother stated she was so youthful looking she was mistaken for someone's child who had been part of the "Bring Your Child to Work Day."

After finishing her externship, Belinda went on to work at St. Anthony Hospital, Denver, Colo., until her death.

Belinda married Charles David Fisher in May of 2004 and they made their residence in Thornton, Colo.

Belinda loved animals and is survived by her four cats, Tuffy, Fuzzy, Baby and Pepper; her mother, Teri Vanderpool; father, Carl Vanderpool; sisters Wendy (Larry) Enokson, Mountain Home, Carol (Marty) Vanderpool, Glacier

National Park, Mont.; Stephanie (Lesley) Vanderpool; Katherine Vanderpool, Mountain Home; Danielle Vanderpool, Mountain Home, and brothers Robert Vanderpool, Okinawa, Japan, and Aaron Vanderpool, Mountain Home; her grandparents, Howard and Susan Walker, Mountain Home, and nephew Mathew Enokson and niece Autumn Vanderpool.

Memorial services for Belinda will be held July 31, at 3 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church in Mountain Home, with a reception following.

The family asks that any donations be made to the Mountain Home Humane Society in Belinda Fisher's name.
