Edna Burch

Edna Louise Burch, 77, of Mountain Home, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at her home.

And not being one to want a fuss, her celebration of life/open house will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6, from noon to 6 p.m. at her home, located at 3940 SW Bradbury Rd., southwest of Mountain Home. George will be in charge of the grill and a bail bondsman will be present.

Edna was born on Nov. 25, 1932, in Natural Steps, Ark., the daughter of Joseph and Dessie Straessle. She was raised and schooled in Oregon.

She arrived in Mountain Home as a chief master sergeantıs wife and worked for civil service for over 40 years before retiring.

Edna enjoyed gardening, fishing, knitting and catching up on current events at AJıs with her friends.

Edna is survived by her son, Craig French, of Mountain Home, her sister, Cathy Willey, of Hillsboro, Ore., her brother, Al Straessle, of Carlton, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
