Raymond and Celia Draper at the time of their wedding...

Raymond and Celia Draper, of Grand View, recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Their children hosted a Golden Wedding Reception for them on June 5 in Grand View.

Raymond Draper and Celia Bybee were married on April 29, 1959, in the Idaho Falls Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The couple's children are: Carilee (Garth) Sleight of Miles City, Montana; Robert (Bonni Clark) of Grand View; Mark (Shawna Haydon) of Mountain Home; Matthew (MeLinda McManigal) of Grand View; Jesse (Sastia Johnson) of Clinton, Utah; and Golden (Holly Hartley) of Nampa. They have 21 grandchildren, two grandchildren-in-law, and 2 great-grandchildren.

The Golden Wedding Reception was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand View. Nostalgia filled the air, as the color scheme and choice of flowers were the same as they had been in 1959. Celia's wedding dress and Raymond's lettermen's jacket and football jersey were on display, along with many photographs of the family over the years. Family members performed during the event, providing much of the entertainment for the special day.
