Dale Grosse

Dale Edward Grosse, 78, of Mountain Home, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at a Twin Falls hospital.

A viewing will be held today, Wednesday, Jan. 14, from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home. Burial, with military honors by American Legion Post No. 26, will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Dale attended schools in Wyoming and in South Dakota where he graduated from high school.

He joined the US Air Force and was stationed in England when he met his first wife, Barbara Llewellyn.

Dale retired from the Idaho National Guard as a master sergeant.

Dale enjoyed the outdoors and liked bow hunting, fishing and various other outdoor sports. He enjoyed traveling and loved the ocean as well as visiting Colorado Springs with his wife, Kristen.

Dale was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and also served on the Faith Lutheran School Board. Dale and his wife had much support from their Pastor Craig Kellerman through the hard stages of Dale's Alzheimer's. He was greatly appreciated and loved.

Dale was a man of integrity; he was loved very much by his wife, family and friends.

Dale is survived by: his wife, Kristen Westall-Grosse of Mountain Home; his daughters, Sally Llewellyn, Carol Perkins and Lynda Cairns; his son, Dale Grosse, Jr., six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara, both his parents, one half brother, and one sister.
