Hiler, Whitlow exchange vows

Kellie Patricia Hiler and Thomas Brandon Whitlow exchanged marriage vows on Aug. 9, 2008.

The ceremony was held at St. John The Apostle Catholic Church in Oregon City, Ore.

A reception was held immediately following at The Museum of The Oregon Territory. Music was by Keegan Smith and the Fam. The reception included provided an open bar, a buffet dinner, and dancing.

Bridesmaids and groomsmen were all friends of the bride and groom, including Susan Hiler, the bride's sister and Connie Harris McCray, originally from Mountain Home.

The bride graduated from Mountain Home High School and Western Oregon University with a degree in English and a teaching license. She is currently a middle school English teacher in Mt. Angel, Ore.

The groom and his family are from the McMinneville, Ore., area and have lived there for several generations. The groom graduated from McMinneville High School, and currently runs his own business, Clear Innovations, a window film company.

The couple reside in Oregon City.

The bride was given away by her father, Tom Hiler of Mountain Home.

The ceremony was attended by the family and friends of the bride and groom in the Oregon area as well as San Diego, Calif., Denver, Colo., and Boise, Nampa, and Meridian in Idaho.

The couple honeymooned for five days in Florida and seven days in southern Spain before returning to their home in Oregon City.
