Elmer Stahle

Elmer George Stahle, 87, of Oreana, died of a heart attack Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at his home.

Funeral services were held following a viewing on Friday, Nov. 16, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand View. Burial followed at the Oreana Cemetery in Oreana.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

He was born near Park City, Utah on Oct.13, 1920, to George J. Stahle and Bertha Hollenweger. He spent 60 years in Park City running the farm and working there and then bought a large ranch in Idaho where he spent the remainder of his life.

Elmer was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in the Western States, and later served in many callings in the church and community. Elmer worked hard during his life and had many cherished friends.

He is survived by: his wife, Joyce Frkovich of Oreana; daughter Georgene Thomas of Idaho City; his sisters, Carman McArthur and Mildred Asay, both of Lovell, Wyo., Glenna Robertson of Wanship, Utah, and Melba Sears of Salt Lake City; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his brothers Ralph and Ivan, his wife, Verla, daughter Margene, son Bryce, and a granddaughter.
