Sparling, Thurlow to tie knot

Rhonda Young and Wayne Sparling of Orlando, Fla., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Mary Elizabeth Sparling, to Michael Edward Thurlow, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thurlow of Mountain Home.

The wedding is planned for August 2008 at Lake Lucerne in Orlando, Fla.

The future bride, an emergency and law enforcement dispatcher with Missoula County, is a 2003 graduate of Lake Brantley High School and is currently enrolled in the University of Central Florida pursuing a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.

Michael Thurlow, a firefighter for the City of Missoula, is a 2002 graduate of Mountain Home High School and received degrees in Fire Science and Liberal Arts with honors from Spokane Community College.

An engagement party will be held at 530 Amber Dr. on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 4 p.m. The bride and groom have extended an invitation to all of their friends, classmates and former coworkers to celebrate with them. RSVP by calling 208-440-2349.
