Ronald David Houston, 59, of Mountain Home, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at his home.

A graveside service was held Saturday, Aug. 4, at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Ronald was born on Feb. 10, 1948, to Samuel and Lydia Houston in Twin Falls.

He was schooled in Mountain Home and on June 7, 1971, he married Kathryn A. Kibler.

Ronald was a self-employed contractor and loved and resided in Mountain Home the majority of his life, his family said, adding that "Ronald loved the fact that after a 40-minute drive, you could be in a wide variety of areas, mountains, the desert, or canyons. He loved camping with his family, fishing with his father and being with his best dog, Wiley."

"Ronald built beautiful miniature dollhouses, he also liked to putter on his property or visit with his multitude of friends and family," his family said.

Ronald is survived by: his wife, Kathryn Houston; his son, Temple Houston; his parents, Samuel and Lydia Houston; his sister, Nancy and her husband, Rex Snideman, all of Mountain Home; and his brother, Dr. Robert Houston of Minnesota.

His sister in-law, Janet Houston, preceded him in death.
