Phillip G. "Gramps" Brown, 86, formerly of Mountain Home, died of natural causes April 9, 2007, in Kennewick, Wash.

Graveside services will be held April 28 at 2 p.m. at Dry Creek Cemetery, Hill Road, in Boise.

Brown was born Sept. 30, 1920, in Hood River, Ore., and moved to Atlanta, Idaho, as a child. He spent most of his life in the Mountain Home and Boise areas.

He was a WWII veteran, having served in New Guinea, Papua and the South Pacific.

He married Ethel Reidy in Mountain Home on Aug. 16, 1947.

He worked at Anderson Ranch Dam during its construction and later at Mountain Home AFB in base supply.

He and Ethel retired to Boise where they resided until 1976, at which time they moved to Kennewick to be near their son, Michael.

He is survived by: his daughter, Patricia Reidy Kennison; his son, Michael Reidy, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel, daughter Leann, a grandson, a great-granddaughter, sisters Edith Whitney and Adaline Diffenbach, and a brother, Max Brown.
