Bertrude Potter, 88

Bertrude H. Potter, 88, of Nampa, formerly of Bruneau, died Monday, March 26, 2007, in a Nampa care center.

A graveside service was held Friday, March 30, at the Bruneau Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Bertrude was born on Jan. 14, 1919, in Bruneau, the daughter of Jerry and Hazel Owens. She was raised and schooled in Bruneau.

Bertrude married Jack B. Potter in 1954. They were later divorced.

She later moved to Nampa and worked for Simplot in Caldwell for 25 years.

Bertrude was very religious and enjoyed reading her Bible, her family noted. She enjoyed travel, being a homemaker and gardening. "She loved her grandkids and taking care of them. Family was everything to her," they said.

Bertrude is survived by: her daughter, Debbie Liedberg of Nampa, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her three brothers.
