Charles "Chuck" Myron Lyman, 77, of Mountain Home, died July 30, 2006, at a Boise hospital.

A viewing will be held today, Wednesday, Aug. 2, from 5-7 p.m. at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home. Inurnment to be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home at a later date.

Chuck, while serving with the United States Air Force, was stationed in Mountain Home in 1954, where he retired. In 1956, he started Mountain Home Electronics and partnered with Marvin Brown in 1957. The friendship between Marvin and Chuck lasted a lifetime, his family noted. Chuck worked construction and in 1970 he started Lyman's Welding and Machine Shop. He later sold the shop and began to acquire rental properties.

In 1957 he became a member of the Elmore Masonic Lodge #30. He joined the El Korah Shrine Temple in January 1970 and was an active member of the Tin Lizzies. He was #7.

Chuck supported the Shriner's mission to help children, with the hope that many others would support the crippled children's program, his family noted.

Chuck was also a member of the Mountain Home Elks Lodge.

In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Lyman can be made to the Transportation Fund, Shriners Hospitals for Children, Fairfax Road at Virginia Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.
