Annette Goins, 70, of Mountain Home, died Sept. 5, 2005, at a Boise hospital, with her family by her side.

A celebration of her life was as held Thursday, Sept. 8, at the VFW Hall in Glenns Ferry. Burial followed at the Veterans Cemetery in Boise. Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, Mountain Home.

She was born Oct. 11, 1934, in Rosedale, Tenn., the daughter of Elmer Brown and Josephine Phillips. She attended school in Tennessee. After graduation she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she worked and lived for 25 years.

Annette enjoyed singing with her sister, Georgia, in Nashville at Ernest Tubb's Record Shop. The shows were called the Midnight Jamboree, on WSM Radio. They met and performed with many country artists.

Annette met her high school sweetheart, Lowell Goins, with family members there, and they were married on Jan. 27, 1999, in Mountain Home.

Annette was a member of the Baptist church and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, cooking, sewing and gardening. Her greatest enjoyment was taking care of her husband, Lowell.

She is survived by: her husband, Lowell; three children, Angela and her husband, Michael, of Indiana, Larry Goins and his wife, Debbie, of California, and Glen Goins and his wife, Rebecca, of Oregon; one sister, Georgia Brown Phillips and her husband, JB, of Tennessee; and six grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by both parents and her son, Floyd Ray.
