Robert (Bob) Lewandowski, 63, died Friday, July 29, 2005.

Memorial services were held Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Park Center Assembly of God. Inurnment followed at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise. Arrangement were under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, Ustick Chapel.

In recent years Robert had worked largely single handedly and tirelessly to erect three wind turbines on the desert between Boise and Mountain Home, becoming Idaho's first commercial wind generating farm.

"Robert has left a huge empty space in his family and this community with his passing and will be greatly missed by all," his family said.

Robert is survived by: his companion Illa; his mother, Ruth Lewandowski; four children and three stepchildren, Martin Lewandowski and his wife, Sharon, Marjory Blood and her husband, Tim, Matthew Lewandowski and his wife, Lydia, and Harley Lewandowski and his companion, Dustie; three grandchildren; five siblings and their spouses; Mae Marsolek and her husband, George, Betty Nason and her husband, Kenneth, Louella Hansen and her husband, Marvin, Calvin Lewandowski and his wife, Ann, Wanda Dazey and her husband, Leon, and many others in his extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Lewandowski.
