James H. Robertson, 95, of Mountain Home, died Monday, March 28, of natural causes.

Graveside services were held April 2 at Morris Hill Cemetery.

He was born on May 19, 1910, in Boise to James Gordon and Addie L. Robertson. He attended school in Boise, Twin Falls, Coos Bay, Ore., and graduated from Boise High School, later attending the University of Idaho.

In 1939 he acquired his private pilot's license and his commercial license in 1940. At that time he enlisted in the US Army Air Corps.

He married Fenna Numans on Jan. 27, 1940. After they were married he was transferred to Moffett Field, Calif., then to the Army airbase in Chico, Calif. He also was stationed at Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, N.M., and in Wiesbaden, Germany, where he flew C-54 aircraft in the Berlin Airlift. He retired from the Air Force as a major.

In 1950 he returned to Chico, Calif., where he started an auto body business. In 1956 he returend to Boise and established Robertson Auto body at State Street and Glenwood, which he owned and operated until his retirement in 1968.

Jim and Fenna spent their winters in mexico from 1964 to 1991. In 1996 they moved to Mountain Home, where he resided until his death.

He is survived by: his wife, Fenna; son Stuart Robertson of Boise; daughters Valerie Rensmeyer of Glendale, Ariz., and Kathleen Metcalf of Surprise, Ariz.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Loise Rieger and Lucille Rolfe.
