Jed Griggs, 8

Jennings Everett Dale "Jed" Griggs, 8, of King Hill, died July 15, 2003, in King Hill.

Funeral services were held Saturday July 19, at Farnsworth Mortuary Chapel in Jerome. Interment followed in the Jerome cemetery.

Jed was born Feb. 28, 1995, in Jerome, to Jimmy and Tira Arbaugh Griggs.

"He was an extremely happy boy who loved going to the cow sale with 'Papa', working with wood and riding horses," his family said. " He was lucky enough to attend Mrs. Black's 2nd Grade class at Glenns Ferry School. His Dad was his greatest hero.

"Jed's cheerful smile and non-stop chatter will be dearly missed."

Jed is survived by: his parents, Jimmy and Nichole Griggs; sisters Justin and Kadi; his brother, Zakkery; grandparents Jim and Barbara Griggs, Rick Holman, Betsy Cheek, Blaine and Lucile Allen and Jim Arbaugh; several great-grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jed was preceded in death by his natural mother, Tira Arbaugh Griggs; grandmother Marilyn Arbaugh; great-grandmother Mary Arbaugh; great-great-grandmother Alice Craig, and cousin Sara Alstrom.
