Dwight Dudley Southwick, 70, of King Hill, died Monday, April 28, 2003, at the VA Hospital in Boise.

Memorial services were held Tuesday, May 6, at the VFW Hall in Glenns Ferry. Inurnment followed at the Glenn Rest Cemetery. Cremation was under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Dwight was born on Jan. 13, 1933, in Grant, Neb., the son of Clyde D. and Louise D. Southwick. The family moved to Idaho from Nebraska when he was three years old.

He lived in several places in Idaho, finally settling in King Hill in 1970, where he bought his parent's farm.

Dwight was a Veteran of the Korean War.

He was married and divorced twice.

Dwight is survived by: his son, Clyde John Southwick and his wife, Linda, of King Hill; two grandsons,; five brothers, Arthur Southwick and his wife, Carol, of Whidbey Island, Wash., Harold Southwick and his wife, Sue, of Glenns Ferry, Floyd Southwick of Rupert, Marvin Southwick and his wife, Judy, of Salmon Arm, British Columbia, and Eldon Southwick of King Hill; two sisters, Oleatha Kelley of Shoshone and Elma Steinbach and her husband, Jim, of Missoula, Mont.; several nieces and nephews; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde D. Southwick, mother, Louise D. Southwick, and sister, Glyda.
