Sharon Joyce Gentle

Sharon Joyce Gentle, age 86, of Mountain Home, passed away on September 9, 2022, at a care center in Garden City. A Funeral Service was held on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Sharon will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home on Thursday, September 22, 2022.

Sharon was born on April 26, 1936, in Hoquiam, Washington to Keith and Emalyn (Hartley) Bishop.

On June 26, 1953, Sharon married Carlos Kenneth Gentle in Soup Lake, Washington. They moved to New Finland then to Mountain Home in 1960. In 1967, they moved to Laken Heath, England. After 3 years they traveled back to Mountain Home then they were off to Montana. In 1971, they returned to back to Mountain Home. Sharon became an Avon representative in 1974 until 1980.

Sharon loved spending time with good friends and missed them dearly and attending to her family. She traveled often to Kentucky with her sister Virginia. They loved to do River Boat Gambling, go to Jackpot and Dolly Wood.

Sharon liked QVC and shopping but loved her Ford Mustang; it was the joy of her life. She often told stories of the compliments about a little grey-haired lady driving a Mustang although she never let her hair turn grey.

Sharon in survived by 4 sons: Dale (Debbie) Gentle of Michigan, Jim (Debbie) Gentle and Keith (Gloria) Gentle of Boise and Steven (Jerri) Gentle of Alaska, 2 daughters Carla (Doug) Cameron of Hammett and Amanda (Justin) Mack of California, 16 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren and all the Foss’.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Carlos, sister Virginia, 1 granddaughter, many brother and sister in laws and Kristen Moore.
