Lilian Hamilton Mabry

Lilian Hamilton Mabry passed away peacefully on July 20, 2022 at the age of 91 at a local care center in Mountain Home with family by her side.

Lilian was born on August 2,1930 to Samuel and Olive Hamilton of Viewfield Cottage Stretton, UK where she resided until she married the love of her life, Bill Mabry, on September 2, 1952 on the Island of Malta. They were stationed in Ohio, England, Florida, and Mountain Home while Bill was on active duty in the US Navy.

A long-time resident of Mountain Home, Idaho. Lilian moved to Mountain Home AFB with her husband and two sons. Lillian worked for the Mountain Home School District for many years in the lunchroom before retiring in 1996.

Lilian lived a full life where she enjoyed traveling to the UK to visit family and around the United States with Bill and Olivia. Lilian was a loving woman who cherished her family more than anything in the world. She became an avid BSU Bronco fan and could be spotted in her blue and orange on game day. She also looked forward to her Sundays for her weekly phone call from her sister Patricia.

Lilian is survived by her two sons William Mabry (Sue Rodolosi) and Brian Mabry, a granddaughter Olivia (husband Jeff) Cody of Mountain Home, two great grandchildren Kara (husband Jeremy) Stanton and Lance Cody, two brothers Ian Hamilton (wife Mary) and Eric Hamilton, a sister Patricia Hamilton of Stretton, UK, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Mabry, Parents Olive and Samuel Hamilton, Sister Dorothy (husband Earl Quenelle), brother Author Hamilton, sister-in-law Janice Hamilton, and Ian Glover.

Private family services will be held. Lilian will be laid to rest by her husband at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho. Arrangements are under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home, Idaho.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the Cottages of Mountain Home for loving on Lilian in her last months. The family has great appreciation to Journeys Hospice and Country Living for the compassion and love they showed Lilian on her last days. Very big thank you to Bobbie Spencer for loving Grandma. The family requests in lieu of flowers donate to Journeys Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
