Jane L. Hodge

Jane L. Hodge, age 73, of Mountain Home passed away at home on Friday, November 26, 2021. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.A celebration of life will be January 8, 2022, at 12 pm at the American Legion Post 26, 515 E 2nd S St. Please come share your stories and memories of Jane with everyone.

Jane was a wonderful wife, mother, nana, friend and active member of the community.

Jane was born in Columbia, South Carolina to George and Phyllis Pilgrim. She was the oldest of three siblings. She spent her childhood traveling, as her father was a distinguished member of the United States Air Force. She herself joined the Air Force for a few years before serving 45 years of civil service with the Department of Defense before retiring in 2015.

Jane was a member of the Mountain Home 4-H group who helped build the stables on the air base in the 70’s. For the last few years, she was an active member of the American Legion Post 26. She was also an active member of the Red Hat Society, serving as Queen of the Purple Gems, a local chapter in Mountain Home.

Jane married her beloved husband David in 1981. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren grow and succeed in all their endeavors.

Jane will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband David, daughters Kristi (Ryan) Miller and Sandi (Ryan) Melanese. She has seven beautiful grandchildren to continue her legacy in life.

Jane is preceded in death by both parents.

Memorials can be made in Jane’s name to a local cancer center.
